At Litho Press, the industry leader in large-format offset printing, we believe the future of the printing industry starts with education, exposure, and opportunity. That’s why we were proud to welcome students from Central Nine Career Center (C9) to our Indiana facility for an inside look at offset printing, litho labels, and corrugated packaging production.
Since 1972, Central Nine has helped high school students build real-world skills and explore career pathways in technical fields. Their focus on hands-on learning aligns perfectly with our commitment to showcasing how modern printing technology and skilled craftsmanship come together in a professional print environment.
Bringing the Classroom to a Real Print Facility
During their visit, students were introduced to Litho Press and our role as a trusted partner in litho label printing and corrugated packaging solutions. We began with an overview of our business model, explaining how offset lithography is used to produce high-quality graphics for packaging applications.
From there, students toured our production floor with General Manager Justin Hiott, experiencing a working commercial printing facility in real time. They got to see our presses in action, learn how color accuracy is achieved, and observe how efficiency and precision drive fast turnaround times.
This hands-on exposure helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world careers in printing and manufacturing. Students were able to connect their coursework, whether in design, production, or technical operations, to actual roles within a modern print shop.

Exploring Careers in Offset Printing and Manufacturing
The printing industry continues to evolve with advanced equipment, automation, and high-quality standards like G7 color certification. With that evolution comes a growing need for skilled professionals who understand both technology and production workflows.
At Litho Press, we see firsthand the importance of developing the next generation of talent. Like many companies in manufacturing and print production, we face the ongoing challenge of finding and training young professionals to fill critical roles.
Programs like Central Nine play a vital role in addressing this need by preparing students for careers in technical trades, including offset printing, press operation, and packaging production.

Supporting the Next Generation of Print Professionals
Not every student is pursuing a traditional four-year college path — and that’s where careers in printing offer incredible opportunity. From press operators to production managers, the industry provides stable, rewarding careers that combine hands-on work with cutting-edge technology.
By opening our doors to students, we’re doing more than giving a tour. We’re helping them discover career possibilities in printing, packaging, and manufacturing.

We Are Litho: Leading the Future of Offset Printing
At Litho Press, being an industry leader means more than delivering high-quality litho labels and top sheets. It means investing in education, supporting workforce development, and sharing our expertise with the next generation.
We’re proud to partner with programs like Central Nine Career Center and to contribute to the future of offset printing in Indiana and beyond.
Because at the end of the day, we don’t just produce print. We help build the future of the industry. We Are Litho.
